Hair Dare: New Year, New Look

Day Three: A Very Braidy Day

Bohemian braids don’t take much time to do but they spice up a style you’ve been wearing all day in seconds … feel the hippie love.

Get the look:

Start with your natural texture on this one, or hit the hay with damp hair so you can get some slight waves if you have fairly straight hair. Give yourself a center part, then separate an inch-wide section from either side of the part. Do a reverse braid on both pieces by tucking the pieces under each other as you braid rather than over (so the braid actually appears upside down). Secure at the ends with tiny clear elastics, then pin toward the back of your head and pull a top chunk of hair from your crown overtop to conceal the pins.
