Tip No. 7: You can make fake brow hairs look real

Whether you use a pencil or shadow to fill in your brows is up to you. Just keep in mind that dark brows can make you look older, so whichever product you use, keep it soft and natural looking, says Stewart.

If using a pencil: For a realistic look, apply more pressure at the bottom of the stroke where the root would be. Ease off on the pressure as you flick your stroke upward, using small strokes to represent hair, says Hawker.

If using a shadow: Load your angled brush with a shadow that matches your natural brow color. Lay the brush against your brow and use the tip of the angled brush to apply the shadow in an upward direction, says Hawker.
