“It’s interesting how she’s overlapping with Madonna here. They both share a penchant for the 40s, like a Marlene Dietrich vibe. But you couldn’t say she’s ripping Madonna off,” Bloch says. “Gwen never copies someone, she might overlap slightly, but the end result is that her style is always her own, because she puts her stamp on it somewhere.” (A good style lesson here: copy celebrity looks, but add your own personal touch so you don’t seem like a wannabe-clone.)

Note the wife beater and gloves: those tough-guy/bully touches pop up frequently.
