Why You’re Wearing the Wrong Bra

You’re a DD, Get Over It

Think DD cups are just for Playboy Playmates and Hooters’ girls? Think again. “We don’t consider D’s a large cup size,” says Koch. “We’re into K cups now, and you’d be surprised at who actually wears those sizes.” In fact, there’s such a stigma against D-sized breasts, that many women squeeze themselves into smaller cups — never a good thing.

Take Kim Kardashian’s nude “W” magazine spread. In the article, Kardashian says she’s a DD, but Edmark thinks that’s way off. “In my opinion, she’s a larger cup size than she is claiming … her cup size is more like a DDD or even a DDDD,” she says.

So why doesn’t Kardashian own up to her cups? According to Edmark “[women] don’t like the sound of their real size. For example a 34G. It just doesn’t sound sexy. ‘Look at those E’s!’ Anything more than a DD and it sounds like you have implants or are abnormal.”

Both experts say it’s time to change our thinking about our cups — and start owning up to our real sizes. After all, “the right size makes you look thinner and younger,” says Edmark.
