A top knot is one of our favorite ways to get our hair up and outta the way. Make your upsweep look even more effortless by adding an element of frizz. Los Angeles-based celebrity hairstylist Casey Geren with Artists by Timothy Priano tells us how to get the look in four easy steps:

1. First, apply a texturizing spray, like Frederic Fekkai Texturizing Spray Gel, $25, to damp hair and blow dry completely.

2. Next, brush all your hair upward into a high ponytail on the top of your head.



3. Take your pony and twist it around to your liking until you have created a high bun, and secure with bobby pins. Gently tug on your bun to widen and shape it.

4. Using the palm of your hands, lightly rub back and forth on the sides of your head to create soft wisps and light frizz.
