Amelia Vega’s gorgeous braid channels Pocahontas (the glam version of her, at least), and it looks best on longer hair. Here’s how to get the look:

1. Starting with dry hair, use a teasing comb to tease the top of your hair. Continue teasing hair at the crown for extra volume.



2. Once you’ve reached the desired height, use your fingers to gather your hair into a high ponytail and secure it with an elastic.



3. Separate your pony into three sections and braid it until you are about two inches from the ends. Secure your braid with a thin elastic, and wrap a small piece of hair around the elastic for a more polished look.



4. Mist your hairstyle with strong-hold hairspray to keep it in place.
