Work in a braid
Blake Lively’s hairstyle shows how to incorporate a braid into your updo for a fun vibe. Here’s how David says to get the look:
1. Apply a texturizing styling mousse to damp hair (try Rusk Curlsilk Texture Control Mousse, $2) and allow hair to air dry.
2. Part your hair slightly to the side. Take a 2-inch section of hair from the front of your head, and create a loose braid diagonally to the back of your head.
3. Gather up all of your hair (including the end of the braid) and secure it into a low bun at the nape of your neck.
4. Pull out a few pieces of hair around your face for a flirty touch, and mist all over with lightweight hairspray to finish.
