Myth No. 14: “Only apply conditioner to your ends”

While applying conditioner to your ends repairs the damage there, it does nothing to prevent damage to healthier sections of hair, says Pantene Principal Scientist Jeni Thomas. Rather than fight a constant battle of damaged ends, fix the problem before it starts by applying conditioner from your crown to your ends. In order to do this without weighing down your hair, choose a conditioner specifically formulated for your hair type so you get the right amount of moisture.
