I’ve got good feelings about a date I have tonight, so I go with something more on the romantic side. This means spending extra time on my hair, but I’m pretty sure it’ll pay off in the end. Check out the steps to getting this look:

1. Having my hair fall flat before appetizers is the last thing I want, so I prep the base by teasing my hair. To do this, I lift up the top layer of my hair and use a teasing comb to backcomb the hair from underneath. Then I smooth back the top section of hair to cover it.



2. For this look to work, you need to keep it soft and pliable, says Sunshine. So I spritz my hair with water and rake a dollop of mousse through it with a comb to loosen up any tangles.



3. I tuck my hair behind one ear, and I pin down the ends with bobby pins to keep my hair in place. Then I let it dry to get a sexy, textured finish.
