When you have stunning long lashes it’s impossible to feel anything less than glamorous. Unfortunately, not all of us were genetically blessed with lashes that go on for miles. Luckily, we can fake it with falsies. Ahnert tells us the best way to apply fake eyelashes:

1. Choose a set of false eyelashes in the style and length of your choice. MAC False Lashes, $15, are a great option and come in different styles. And if you end up buying some that are way too long, you can trim them.

2. Squeeze a small amount of eyelash glue, like MAC Lash Adhesive, $9, onto a piece of paper, and dip the strip of false lashes into the glue so that the strip is adhesive. Wait 30 seconds for the glue to become tacky.

3. Use a pair of tweezers to attach the lashes starting at the outer corner, and then press into the inner corner.

4. Gently use your fingers to adjust the lashes and push down as close to your lash line as possible.

5. Wait three minutes, and then apply one coat of mascara to finish the look.
