Beauty Dare: Makeup in the Dark

Before the challenge: “I’ve got my makeup routine down. I get it done in less than 10 minutes while I multitask (a.k.a. while I’m driving). I felt pretty good about doing my everyday makeup in the dark, anything fancier than that made me a little shaky to think about.”

The hardest part: “I was surprised at how much longer I took with every step. Putting on eyeshadow took forever and I found myself going over and over the same spots since I wasn’t sure if I had even put on any product. I debated whether to go with lipstick or lipgloss, and I was feeling brave enough to try lipstick.”

Her results: “I was surprised there were no harsh lines — everything was blended smoothly. But I went way overboard with just about everything I put on, so I felt like an exaggerated version of myself. Now I know: If I ever need to put on my face during a blackout, I’ll go over my cheeks just once, not fifty times.”
