Day 10: Zig zag

We ended our 10-day nail art challenge with these M.I.A-inspired zig-zag nails — we thought it would be a fun way to play with color and go out with a street-chic bang.

What we used:

Milani Nail Art Lacquer with Precision Brush in Draw in Pink, $3.99

Milani Nail Art Lacquer with Precision Brush in Green Sketch, $3.99

Milani Nail Art Lacquer with Precision Brush in Orange Graph, $3.99

Milani Nail Art Lacquer with Precision Brush in Yellow Design, $3.99

Milani Nail Art Lacquer with Precision Brush in Blue Print, $3.99

Milani Nail Art Lacquer with Precision Brush in Black Sketch, $3.99

Sparitual True Bond Topcoat, $15

How we got the look:

Step 1. Anna used six different colors to paint side-by-side “Z’s,” stripes, and squares on each nail. (Like with the tribal nails, make sure each color dries before laying down the next color.)

Step 2. She made sure the entire nail surface was covered with color by dotting polish near the tips of my nails, when the space became too small to create actual shapes.

Step 3. Anna finished with a coat of clear nail polish to seal the look.
