Day 2: Newspaper nails

This one was a bit tricky, but seeing the awesome end result makes it sooo worth it. And for a pair of editors, there’s nothing better than the combination of fashion, newspaper, and vodka, don’t you agree?

What we used:

HIPPxRGB Nail Foundation in F1, $16

• Vodka

• Newspaper

Sparitual True Bond Topcoat, $15

How we got the look:

Step 1. Anna painted my nails a nude shade to start. (Make sure it dries completely before moving onto the next step.)

Step 2. We dipped small squares of newspaper into the vodka, and placed them on my nails, one by one. We pressed the newspaper down on the nail for 10 seconds, and used a blow dryer to help it set faster.

Step 3. After the newspaper dried, we slowly peeled each square off. (If you do it right, the print should transfer from the paper to the nail.)

Step 4. We waited for the print to dry, and Anna sealed it with a clear topcoat to help it last longer.
