Frederic Fekkai
Say it like this: fray-day-reek feh-kigh
Frederic Fekkai is a French hairstylist who caught the attention of Bergdorf Goodman in the late ’80s, and was asked to design a salon for the world famous department store. Unlike some other hairstylists (ahem, Vidal Sassoon), Fekkai didn’t have a signature haircut, but believed that each person should have their own unique cut. Pretty radical, huh? Today, he has salons in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, and St. Barth’s (just to name a few) and his hair products, introduced in 1995, are sold around the world.
