Instead, she uses a basic top coat, which she applies to the nail and the back of the object she’s going to place on the nail. “Nail polish isn’t meant to be on your nails forever. If you use glue, when you go to remove the polish, the glue stays on your nail and you’ll have to chisel it off. A top coat will hold just as well, and comes off easily without harming the nail,” she explained.
