Playing With Shadows

Don’t know what shadow to use on your lids? According to Taylor, “you can never go wrong with a bit of soft shimmer.” She also recommends applying some shimmery white eyeshadow to the inner corners of the eyes for a more awake look.

But no matter what color shadow you decide to use, when it comes to your glasses it’s all about application. “You want to add detail and concentrate on the socket of your eye [i.e. your lower eyelid and crease],” says Prior. “The frames usually cover the upper lid and brow, so focus your energy below the upper eyelid.”

Of course, don’t forget about your frames. “If you wear thick black frames, you might not want a dramatic smoky eye. All that darkness might make your face look closed up,” says Prior.
