When Hayden Panettiere chopped off her hair, we gasped — it was incredibly daring for Hollywood. But of course, she wasn’t the first (or the last) star to take the plunge.

What we love: Nothing shows off a beautiful face more than a cropped cut, plus the quick styling time is a busy girl’s dream. But our favorite thing is that it takes major guts to go this short — so if you do it, you’re basically telling the world just how ballsy you really are.
