9 Weirdest Hair Tools Ever

Flowbee hair invention

Flowbee

The Topsy Tail wasn’t the only strange hair invention to come out of 1991. The world was also introduced to the Flowbee: a simple haircutting tool that attached to your vacuum, utilizing the suction power. (We have no idea how someone thought this one up!) The commercials were comical to say the least, but the Flowbee did gain some hardcore users. In fact, it’s still being sold today — and even has market competition, like the Robocut. This gadget definitely takes the cake for most extreme device.

Hair Gadget Confession: “My mom loved her Flowbee. She used to cut my dad’s hair with it all the time. She probably still does. I think she got the boys a time or two, but thankfully my hair was too long and I was mostly out of the house by that point.” — Beth, Total Beauty User
