1. Apply a strong-hold foam or gel on damp hair.

2. Blow dry your hair using a round brush.

3. Create a horseshoe-shaped section at the very top of your head. Simply take hair from the one corner of your eye to the other corner of your other eye. Pin the section out of your way for now.

4. With the remaining hair, create a high ponytail and secure the pony with an elastic. You can wrap a piece of hair around the elastic to hide it and pin the ends underneath the ponytail.

5. Once the ponytail is secured, release the horseshoe-shaped section. Curl the section with a 1-inch curling iron, holding the curling iron parallel to the ground.

6. Once curled, brush out and back comb the section for maximum volume.

7. Brush out and smooth the top section to create the wave in the front. Pin the ends of the front wave to the side of your head.

8. Spray with a strong-hold hairspray — especially the front wave.
