Scarlet Johansson

Scarlet Johansson’s playful look is reminiscent of the USO girls of the ’50s. So turn up “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” and try this out. Radcliffe explains how to get this style:

1. Prep dry hair with an anti-frizz shine spray, like Pureology Color Stylist Radiance Amplifier, $28.

2. Create a deep side part. Using 2-inch Velcro curlers, begin rolling your hair around the hairline up and back. (Radcliffe’s tip: Hair sections wound in the rollers should be no wider or deeper than size of the roller for maximum control and effect.)

3. Once all the rollers are set, blast hair with the blow dryer for five minutes to set the wave. Let the rollers cool for another five minutes.

4. Remove rollers and spray your hair with strong-hold hairspray. Then, brush hair out with a boar bristle paddle brush to maximize shine and smoothness.

5. Then roll your hair up and back again, mimicking the way you placed the rollers, with your fingers. Crisscross bobby pins at scalp. Radcliffe says they should be placed where your fingers touch the scalp.

6. Use a tale-comb to help smooth out any flyaways as you go. Do this around the entire perimeter of your hairline.

7. Finish the look by misting it with a strong-hold hairspray.
