Obviously, not everything in your mom’s closet is worth taking. As far as trends go, the ’80s are back out — so you can ditch the stuff with shoulder pads in it. Also, anything that looks too dated or worn is a no. Roberts’ rule of thumb: ask yourself if you could see the item in a store today. If it’s a yes, then wear it, if it’s a no, then skip it.
