three connected ponytails

Structured Glam

This look seems complicated, but it’s really not. You just need to know how to make a simple ponytail (times three). Scarbrough tells us how to get the look in just a few simple steps:

1. Apply a firm-hold gel to wet hair.

2. Blow dry your hair smooth with a paddle brush.

3. Divide hair into three horizontal sections: One at the top of the crown, another from your temples to the top of your ear, and the rest of the hair as the third section.

4. Beginning with the top section of hair, brush your hair back, and pull it into a tight ponytail at the back of your crown.

5. Take a 1-inch section of hair from the bottom of the pony and wrap around the rubber band to hide it. Tuck ends underneath by securing a pin into the band.

6. Working with the next section of hair, smooth your sides into another mid-level ponytail. Add the ponytail from the top into this second one. Secure all your hair with an elastic.

7. Take a 1-inch section of hair from the bottom of the pony and wrap around the rubber band to hide it. Tuck ends underneath by securing a pin into the band.

6. Take the last section of hair and gather it into a ponytail at the nape of the neck, including the ponytail from the mid-section. Secure your pony with an elastic.

7. To finish, take a 1-inch section of hair from the bottom of the pony and wrap around the rubber band to hide it. Tuck ends underneath by securing a pin into the band. Spray entire head with a strong-hold hairspray.
