Easy Updos for Medium Hair

Updos aren’t just for long hair, and they’re not just for hair professionals, either. Whether you’re going to an event, or you just want a simple way to get your hair off your neck, we’ve got inspiration for easy updos for medium hair.

Faux Bob

This updo will make all your friends think you bit the bullet and chopped off all your hair, but your length is actually just tucked in. For a texturized, messy look, dry hair using a diffuser. Part hair on the side and gather your hair into a low ponytail. Tuck the tail under the rest of your hair, allowing lots of tendrils to escape in the front to create the illusion of a bob.

Pin Curl Twist

For this hairstyle, it’s helpful to start with semi-dirty hair. Section off a two-inch area in the bang area and pin it back with bobby pins. Twist back the hair over either ear into a low pony and connect the sides with a bobby pin. The remaining hair at the nape of your neck should be twisted up to meet the rest of the hair, for a sort of multi-dimensional, messy bun look. While this sounds a bit more complicated, its messy nature makes it one of the easy updos for medium hair.
