1. Prep washed hair by applying a volumizing cream to your roots. From the mid-shaft down use an anti-frizz serum, like Angelo David Zero Frizz Control, $19.50.

2. Part hair in the middle and begin drying the hair in small sections using a round boar bristle brush.

3. After blow drying each section, gather the section and clip it into a loose pin curl using hair pins. (“This creates body and movement,” says David.)

4. Once all your hair is dry, release pins, and finger comb hair to get that tousled, slightly undone look.

5. Finish by misting your entire head with a strong-hold hairspray.
